More time at the house

The following week we managed to get some more running/cycle/swim completed in the mornings and then spent the afternoons relaxing at the house or exploring some of the local towns. We headed up to MSM for dinner one of the nights which was nice but we were the crazy English who wanted to eat outdoors (then come indoors for pudding once it got too cold). We also had a nice lunch in Citta Di Castello after a morning of shopping one of the days. Rich and his parents headed out to see the famous painting of the pregnant Madonna in a nearby town so it was a busy final few days. Karen and David headed back on the Thursday so Rich and I spent a few days at the house alone before my Aunt Jane arrived on Sunday night.

Once Jane arrived the weather really brightened up for a few days and we again spent the 5 days she was here between visiting local towns and relaxing by the pool topping up our tans, although for the last couple of days she was here it was hot and cloudy. We managed to got to MSM, Citta de Castello, Perugia and Monterchi and Sanspolcro (where we found a great little local restaurant where we got some vegan versions of local dishes) Rich has started learning some of the flight information before he starts training in November so that has kept him busy and quiet for the last few days. Jane headed home on Friday evening after a couple of hours touring Perugia and its just Rich and I here until the owners arrive  back on Thursday evening. We will then leave on Friday morning and its going to be weird to leave here, after almost 4 weeks, as we have really enjoyed both the comforts of a house but also having a dog and this stunning location. Its been so quiet and we can sit outside all day and only hear the occasional car/tractor and the birds singing, bees buzzing or the lizards scuttling into the bushes. It has been great and we will miss it here but we are also looking forward to our next adventures!
